Great book. This booklet is a substance of Two lectures delivered by Emmet Fox at Unity School of Christianity, Kansas City. Mental equivalents are simply the mental images, or mental versions, of our desires; they are the thoughts and images from which we build our desires or with which we find our desire.

We build in the mental equivalents by thinking quietly, constantly and persistently of the thing we want, and by thinking that the two qualities clearness or definiteness and interest. The key to life is to build in the mental equivalents of what we want and to expunge the equivalents of what we do not want.

Fox thought that the foundation for all true productive expression was positive thinking. The technique involved having conscious awareness of our daily thought process and connectivity to God in order to realize any change or manifestation in the external environment.

“Your main job in life is to create the mental equivalent within yourself of what you want to realize and enjoy in your outer world.” –Emmet Fox ...
I would recommend this book for anyone stuck in how to unlock the closed door of there minds to release mental blocks that restrain them from progress in any life event.
