Another great book by Prof (Dr) WA Liebenberg. It's biblical and historical, great for in-depth study. The history of the disappearance of the Ten Tribes of Israel is one of the most mysterious topics for both the Jew and the Gentile, even more so for the forgotten Ten Lost Tribers. A blazing fire is now awakening in the souls of these people causing them to rise from their slumber, an actuality that is unstoppable as prophesied by an ancient prophet of Israel called Ezekiel.

Notes:
Ezekiel was the son of Buzzi and was born into a priesthood lineage of the patrilineal line of Ithamar in 622 BC in Anathoth. Anathoth was a small quite Levitical city given to "the children of Aaron" in the tribe of Benjamin. Ezekiel and the residents were called Anetothites since the Israelites often did not change the names of the towns they found in Canaan. The name of Ezekiel’s town was derived from a Canaanite goddess `Anat, a violent war-goddess, a virgin who is the sister and the lover of the great god Ba‘al Hadad.

Later in his life Ezekiel and his wife lived on the bank of the Chebar River, in Tel Abib in Babylon. It was here where exiles from Judah came to seek his prophetic insights. Ezekiel's wife died at a young age, in the ninth year of exile, when he was only 34 years of age. Ezekiel did not have any offspring.

It was here in the pagan land where Ezekiel was approached by the Great God of Israel who gave him visions of the far future. Ezekiel pierced 2,500 years into the future and saw the Dry Bones of the scattered Ten Lost Tribes coming alive from the dead. The visions left him speechless and shocked as his Ten Tribe brothers were exiled 100 years before he was born.

Ezekiel saw the Ten Lost Tribers’ desperate longing to the possibility of happiness and peace on earth amongst the harsh Gentile nations, and their predestined history of the long journey home.

The entire story of Joseph and his "ten" brothers is prefigured in the history of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel exiled 2700 years ago amongst the nations in the Scriptures.

It is interesting yet crucial to note that Joseph was not recognized by his brothers for he became an Egyptian in dress, stature and customs. Similarly today, these "re-identifying Ten Tribe returnees" are not recognized, not by Judah (Jews) and not even by the "brothers"
themselves because of their non-Jewish culture.

The prophecies define "twelve" Tribes of Israel divided into two Houses: the House of Judah (Jews) consisting of two Tribes and the House of Israel (Joseph also known as Ephraim) consisting of ten Tribes.

Jeremiah, another of Israel’s ancient prophets, states that both Houses must return and reconcile. Jeremiah's ministry was active from the thirteenth year of Josiah, king of Judah in 626 BC until after the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of King Solomon's Temple in 587 BC. This period spanned the reigns of five kings of Judah.

Ezekiel vividly spoke of the spiritual restoration of the nation in its own land and the work of the Ruach (Spirit) in its midst. He further prophesied with a vision of the dry bones and predicted that the stick of the House of Judah, the southern Two Tribes, and stick of the The
House of Israel, the northern Ten Tribes, would both be reunited and given national life once again.

The Great God of Israel made an everlasting covenant with Abraham that extended for all time to Abraham's descendants. This covenant involved the Promised Land between the two rivers and the promised Moshiach. Only in the Moshiach could the Great God of Israel fulfill His pledge to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and through Abraham’s lineage would all the families, meaning the nations of the earth, be blessed.
